From the outset, France dominated the midfield and this paid off immediately as striker Guy Léonard opened the scoring.
Sweden reacted immediately and rebalanced their midfield, but to no avail as it was the French who created all the chances through Léonard.
At the start of the second half, the Swedes finally showed themselves to be much more enterprising and it was they who looked dangerous, but their chances failed and just as it looked as though France would win, the Swedes continued to push forward and were rewarded for their efforts with an equaliser in the 84th minute through Bjarsmir. France tried to push forward again but their last chance failed and it was the inevitable penalty shoot-out that would decide the winner of this 7th edition

Season 140 sees the launch of the 8th edition.
More and more federations are playing this League to the hilt, but as things stand we are keeping to the same pattern, with 12 federations qualifying for the Final Round (Top Twelve).
The ranking of the 12 qualifiers (with a maximum of 4 matches played and scheduled) will be decided on 27 April.
The financial rewards will be the same as for this edition:
12 M to the winner 5 M to the finalist 3 M to the qualifiers and 1 M per match won in the final phase.

There is no registration for the 1st round.
Only those who qualify for the second round will be required to register

I'm very proud of this victory in my 1st season with France. The early days were a bit chaotic, and I had to reshape the team in my own way, so I almost got knocked out in the qualifiers! In the end, I managed to get through by fishing (just like at the baccalaureate!) and found myself on the difficult path to meeting the most monstrous selectors in this game! In the end it all came down to a bit of luck at the end of the TAB (you need a bit of luck every now and then). Congratulations to Sweden for that magnificent match yesterday, which really killed me in the 84th minute (I had to put the champagne back in for a few hours...)
I'm also proud to be the 1st coach to win this trophy for the 2nd time with 2 different teams. Thank you all and see you next season for new adventures!

In response to requests for clarification, I would like to point out that the federations taking part in the African Cup of Nations will not be taken into account in the standings for the 1st round of the Federations League.

There is no resentment towards the organisers of this cup, quite the contrary, but there are 2 reasons why this is not the case and creates an incompatibility:
1°) the federations involved in the CAN have too many matches to play to be available with 4 free dates to play the 2nd phase
2°) the federations have matches that are not randomly drawn but manually defined, which distorts their ranking in the first phase.

Quick question: why not organise a world cup with the members of the can every 4 seasons, for example? Because there must be some very good federations that play against each other and that we never play against

myforsans: Non les tentatives d'organisation de coupe du monde précédentes se sont soldées par des échecs ;
Trop d'équipes s'inscrivaient sans motivation, plein de matchs par forfait, trop de boulot pour les admins tu doivent programmer manuellement un nombre considérable de matchs, sans compter les vérifications anti-triche à faire qui sont beaucoup moins chronophages avec une formule coupe du monde à 32 ou 48 équipes.

La formule actuelle est faite justement pour éviter ces écueils et en phas
