The rules remain the same as for the edition just completed.
So it's off to the 1st round, with a maximum of 4 matches to be played between now and 28 February.
Qualifiers for the second phase will be published on Saturday 1 March

From tomorrow 31 January, all federation matches played will count towards the 1st phase.

In agreement with Morten, and in order to reward good selectors, the 7th edition of the League will be accompanied, in addition to the title, by financial prizes.

The selectors of the 12 federations qualified for the 2nd phase will receive 3M.
The winner will receive 12 M and the runner-up 5 M

In addition, any victory in the 2nd phase (including on penalties) will be rewarded with 1M.

No registration is required for the first phase. I don't know which federation you head, but if it's in the top 12 (after a maximum of 4 matches) you'll be able to take part in the 2nd phase, and then you'll have to register.

I'll provide an interim update on the standings in ten days' time, because you can't rely 100% on the standings displayed by the game, as it doesn't take goal average into account and doesn't give points for forfeited wins, whereas for our standings it's 3 points and 3-0 in the event of an opponent forfeiting

Reminder:

1. To be included in the final ranking of the 12 federations qualified for the "Final Twelve" of the 2nd phase, a federation must not have played (or scheduled) more than 4 matches by 28 February.

2. Please note that some of the federations in the current rankings have already played or scheduled 4 matches, so you should leave it at that if you want to be included

3. The League of Federations is now financially rewarded for the 12 qualified coaches (see the presentation post above).

If it goes to the selectors, for a competition where qualification can be decided with disconcerting ease by rigging matches, since there's nothing easier than choosing your opponent with the current module, that's a disgrace. There is no other word for it.

But before you talk about 'shame', put the term into perspective, given the amount of money involved.
3 million for a qualifier isn't going to change things either, and qualifying isn't as easy as you think.
Take charge of a federation and see for yourself how easy it is to qualify.

What's more, there are a lot more controls than you think. Several federations have already been sanctioned or called to order without this necessarily being exposed in the public arena.
What's more, some federations think they can avoid being inspected, so they prefer not to take part in the competition :) :)

Personally, I thought it would go into the federation's coffers.

I've already informed the managers of the Icelandic players selected that the Federation League bonus would be shared out in the same way as the seasonal results bonus that I distribute. Half of the winnings would be divided equally between the clubs of the players selected, in the form of a subsidy for the last match of the season, with the rest going to the reserves of the Icelandic Federation.
